Christmas Morning

Christmas morning is loads of fun! I love the fact that we don't get out of our jammies and the boys, being the only grandchildren on each side of the family, are without a doubt the center of attention.

Hunter just opened his "Santa gift".  He was delighted to receive his Nintendo DS.  He was just sure Santa was going to come through again this year.  He was quite confident he had been good all year.

Parker is opening his "Santa gift".  He loves trucks and tractors and now he has a John Deere just like Daddy's!

The boys are opening more gifts as Uncle Tony looks on probably secretly wishing he was a kid again.

Aunt Diann, Donna and I are laughing it up as we are about to watch Jon open his gift.

Can you guess what Jon got for Christmas?  We guessed a Nimbus 2000 or a Firebolt!  By the way, that was a GREAT wrapping job!

...here is the matching dust pan.  Hopefully the garage will get swept soon now that we the proper tools!

Hunter was thrilled to get Hogwart's castle from Grammie and Poppie.  It has 1,290 pieces and he put them all together by himself.  It took him a couple of days to completely assemble it and he was so proud of himself.  I was rather impressed myself.

Parker got a tee pee for Christmas from Grammie and Poppie.  It is so cute!  I think he will love his "Hayes Hideout"!

Here he is peeking out the back door of the tee pee.  I see fun times in his future!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always a fun, family affair.  We celebrate by having dinner and presents with the Hayes and my parents at Tom and Mary's house.

Christmas Eve is bittersweet for the boys. They love celebrating Christmas but they are very sad to see Sir Jackson go. They love that little elf.  This year they gingerly placed silly bands on his arm (without touching him because that is forbidden by Santa) so that he too could have a present!

Mary and Hunter enjoying her beautifully set dinner table.

Mary's tree and living room before the chaos ensues.

Hunter, Poppie and I pose for a picture before the unwrapping begins.

Parker is posing with his new jammies and his hat that says "I've Been Good"!

The boys are helping Papa Tom unwrap one of his presents as Papa looks on.

Hunter is posing with one of his many gifts.  He's a lucky little boy!

I just unwrapped my annual Christopher Radko gift.  I love adding to my collection!

Hunter's 1st Grade Christmas Party

Today was Hunter's Christmas party in Ms. O'Brien's class at school!

The kids are working on their craft as one of the homeroom Mom's and Ms. O'Brien look on.

Jake Tadlock, one of Hunter's best friends, smiles for the camera.

Still working on that craft...  Cristina Basera (far left) is one of Hunter's little buddies.  She "kept an eye on Hunter" for me all year long.  She was always eager to give me a report any time I came up to school.

Snack time as Parker is eyeing Hunter's candy...the party was fun!
